ABOUT THE AUTHOR

I’m just a girl from Gary, Indiana, with dreams bigger than my surroundings and a determination stronger than my struggles. I’ve faced challenges that could have defined me, but instead, I let them refine me. My story isn’t just about where I started or the pain I’ve endured—it’s about where God is leading me.

As a Certified Life Coach, Mentor, Motivational Speaker, and Mother, my passion is helping young girls and women transform their wounds into strength, guiding them from pain to purpose. Holding an associate’s degree in liberal arts, a bachelor’s in psychology, and currently pursuing a master’s in psychology, I am committed to equipping others with the tools they need to heal, grow, and step into their God-ordained greatness.

Creativity has always been my refuge. Crafting, journaling, and writing became the outlets that helped me process my journey—especially as I navigated the aftermath of a 22-year marriage that nearly broke me. But divorce didn’t mean I was damaged—it meant God was repurposing my pain for His glory. A powerful moment in a Sunday service changed my perspective forever when a pastor declared, "You can’t carry God’s glory and a grudge." That charge forced me to confront an important question: What was I still holding on to? Or better yet, what was still holding on to me?

Determined to walk fully in healing and wholeness, I have authored a book on my personal healing story along with four self-help journals to encourage others on their journey:
The Burn Journal
The Gratitude Journal
The Grief Journal
Ghetto Girlz Guide to God

Above all, my greatest joy is my family. I am blessed to be the mother of four incredible adult children—who inspire me every single day. But my heart is beyond full as the proud "Suga Momma" to my two amazing grandchildren. Watching them grow and discover the world reminds me that God’s blessings always come full circle.

My mission is simple but powerful: to help women heal, to remind them of their worth, and to show them that no matter what they’ve been through, God still has a plan for their lives.

Because at the end of the day—I am proof that pain can have a purpose.
